  Aston RAG is a fantastic opportunity to make the most of your time at University. Joining a society as large as ours is a great way to meet new people, have a great time and most importantly make a huge amount of money for charity. To give you some perspective of the scale of Aston RAG, last years turnover  was more than £83,000! For such a small university, the money we raise per capita makes us the most successful RAG in the country.
   
  What is RAG?
   
  RAG Stands for Raise and Give and we are the fundraising body for the University. Throughout the year a committee of 11 second year students and one Fresher’s Representative, organise a series of events for everybody at the University, with all the proceeds going to a variety of different Charities.
   
  RAG is the biggest society at Aston and more importantly it is completely free to come and join the fun! We meet every week at 8.00 in the Blue Room on the Ground floor of the Guild to discuss what’s going on with RAG. This is usually followed by a social event of some description.
   
  If you would like to find out more about RAG, we have an office on the third floor of the Guild, complete with sofas, table football and a talking parrot! We’re almost always in there and we’d love to meet you!
   
  From the RAG Officer

  Hello and welcome to www.astonrag.com!

  I would like to introduce myself as this year’s RAG Officer, my name is Jamie and feel free to contact me with any enquiries or help you need.

   

  Aston RAG is a charitable organisation of Aston Student’s Guild which raises money for a wide variety of fantastic causes. We do this by putting on a huge range of events for students throughout the academic year. These include the massively epic RAG Weeks, the memorable and touching Relay For Life and bucket collections (raids) in many cities throughout the UK.

   

  That is just a small snapshot of what we get up to as we stand by our main principle, “Enjoy Making a Difference”. We make sure to have a lot of fun along the way to raising thousands of pounds for charity. Last year the committee raised a brilliant £86,000 and it is our job this year to reach that target.
